Susan,
It is the newer Covey last spring. We are just getting around to releasing some things.
The depth of tone the oboe has is really a combination of the oboe and a style of reed I use for recording.
That and the last remnants of a lucky batch of cane from '84.
But the Covey definitely gives me lots of options and flexibility for tone and expression.
I really love that oboe.
