Well, it just happened again -- someone hearing me play this morning (a college-trained oboist in the audience) stopped me afterward and asked where I get my reeds.
I was sitting in as a ringer with the Duke String School orchestra -- son of a friend was soloing on Mozart Third Violin Concerto, and asked me to help. Director of the string school asked my friend, "Who is that oboist! I want her!"
So, it is VERY nice to sometimes win one! Of course, I was playing Puff the Magic Oboe (my much-beloved, and much abused, Covey Classic). It IS a magical instrument. Best high notes in the industry, I swear!
But if you want another testimonial for the efficacy of Drew's reeds, there you have it!
