My BAM "Original" Xtra-lite double case (oboe/EH) has two nice deep cushy slots for the bocals. I only still have the two that came with the EH, but I believe I could fit maybe four in there.
My teacher, who had a raft of bocals, had a couple of cases like you describe. Maybe you could get one of the folks who sell the relatively inexpensive homemade (handmade?) reed cases on That Unmentionable Auction Site to make you a bocal case?
