Dear Mary,
Many thanks for the advice. I can open and close my mouth with no problem. My jaw does not catch, either. So I will take your suggestion and hope that ibuprofen and rest help me. I'm not sure how to tell if there's swelling.
Wow, how scary that something like tendonitis can rear its ugly head from just one rehearsal!
We're stuck with the piano, but it's supposed to be tuned before Friday. I was expecting 442 or 443, but it's a little lower. Ironically, I worked very hard to get my ear and my reeds up to European pitch over the past months! I don't know what we'll end up with in terms of the pitch of the piano, but I'll be ready and will do the best I can...
Thanks again.
