oops, I forgot to say I use an 'American' scrape.
My teacher studied with Tabuteau, so I guess I use a variation of his: pretty blended, no real steep 'steps' between back/heart/tip. The thickness of the spine depends entirely on the resilience of the cane.

I'm trying to 'modernize' my approach a bit via Jay Light's book, but really I haven't varied that much in the past 30 years.
