 Tenon/Socket misalignment

The top joint and middle joint of both of my oboes do not line up perfectly. They meet, probably 1.0 - 1.5mm, off center. I can see sliver of crescent shape misalignment when I look through the bore from the bell end.

It does not seem to affect the way either oboe plays. But I am not really sure. When 3rd octave c# and d misbehave, which is rather common complaints I have time to time, I usually adjust my reed to correct it, and it works most of the time. I wonder sometimes, however if this misalignment may contribute to this problem.

I asked two prominent oboe techs, one from the east coast and one from the west. They have just opposite opinions. I do have little bit of oboe acoustic background. It should matter theoretically but until I look through the details of the equations, I cannot tell if it should affect the 3rd octave c# and d and how much. Beside, I no longer have necessary tools to work this out.

Anyone here have any experience on this?
I attached a photo.

Also, anyone know how to delete unintended post?
