Hi RobinDesHautbois,

I know of a program called Rosegarden. It is a comprehensive midi sequencer with a score editor. I don't know if it supports all the things you would like to use it for.

It is completely free, however, it runs on Linux. Not on Windows or Apple. Fortunately Linux is available for free as well.
