This is a fingering I use that doesn't use the first finger of the right hand, so it doesn't matter whether you have a thumbplate or not. Currently I am playing an Laubin that doesn't have a 3rd octave key, so this fingering works great without the assistance of the 3rd octave key.
Octave key (1st)
1/2 hole
2nd finger left hand
G#
Second finger right hand
Low C key
