I think each of us has a wonderful story, and I applaud you for making yours available!

What is it with science-careers who also do music? I am a registered nurse and my son is a masters-level engineering student at UBC, and I know many a doctor/research scientist who does music 'on the side'.

I think that music is one of the greatest diversions and therapies there is. I have nervous-system problems and somehow, although I can't add the numbers in my checkbook, I can count music. Playing is great effort for me -- I'm working on softening up my reeds so I don't have to use as much energy -- but so worthwhile.

Bien fait, Robin.
