 Fossati Oboes

Hello to all,

I am looking to purchase a Fossati oboe. However, I am in Australia and am very limited by the oboes I am able to view and try without considerable expense. I am looking at the Fossati partly because of a colleague who has one and plays with such an amazing, unique tone, and I must admit I have also been attracted by the price.

So my questions are:

What are people's general opinions of Fossati oboes?
What is the difference between the Soliste and the Artiste?
How much difference does the 'V' model make?
What is the meaning of the different models (A01, A01N, F01)? I am guessing they relate to the keywork system?

Thanks for your advice!
