Gold keys make no difference. The only difference is that they do not tarnish like silver does.
Matt Dine had the plexiglass topjoint made when he cracked the topjoint to pieces. He has since sold it to an amateur woman in Port Townsend, WA through Peter Hurd. I can put you in touch with the person who connected Peter to the current owner.
