 Plexiglass top joint
Author: hautboy

I read somewhere on facebook that someone has a Hiniker oboe with a grenadilla lower joint and a plexiglass top joint. Does anyone have an instrument like this? Apparently the person loves it. I know that Marigaux makes an all plexiglass one. (or whatever they call it, autglass or something like that, it's in French, can't remember). Any thoughts on sound quality compared to wood or other synthetic materials? What about gold keys? Do they really make a difference?
