The other key that partially closes is the RH2 fingerplate when the low C key is closed - closing the low C key lowers the middle fingerplate along with it, but doesn't close it completely. Again there's an adjusting screw on the low C key touch to finely adjust how much closure the mid fingerplate has so the altissimo C# speaks easily when using the oxx|xoxC or oxx|xooC fingerings.
