Sorry, I've never been to the factory. In fact I've only been to Como once. I should go more often, but the summer traffic jams to Lake Como put me off! I'm on the unfashionable side of Lake Maggiore (East).
I have a Rigoutat Riec and my teacher plays a Patricola which he claims is the best. It has the italian keywork with the low B operated by a thumbkey and an extra LH C# where the B should be.
But he admits that Bulgheroni make excellent oboes.
I reckon that the reason they changed the name in the UK is because they thought the italian name doesn't sound very nice.
