Any idea what the recommended tie-off length for an RDG -1N (or Rigotti -1N) EH shape is? Also, how long is an (unfolded) EH gouged cane supposed to be. I bought some of the above mentioned cane (width dimensions match an RDG -1N) on an "e-store and auction bay" and it's about 81-82mm long -- which leaves ~9mm on the 27mm tube when I try to tie at a 59mm length (which is very short compared to other EH reeds I've purchased). I'm wondering if this is Oboe D'amore cane instead.
