Hi Corinne,
I know what you mean about not having the $. But if you want good work, PLEASE get your oboe to a reputable shop where someone has been fixing oboes for YEARS.

I would also recommend your having the entire instument evaluated, or at least maintained. I'm going to swallow the repair bill and get mine done -- it's past due!!
