i have never played one before.
my teacher who is currently studying EH tells me it has similar problems with oboe such as altissimo intonation flaws and basically like all other 'harmony' type instruments it requires more air becauseof its size.
embouchure wise it seems to be quite similar. posture adjustments are dangerous because the aim is to get as much direct air into the instrument as possible, i.e. just like holding the oboe at a relatively high angle, but on the EH, that is not quite practically possible.
i am also suddenly quite interested in the EH. i have never even seen one live before. haha. what a pity.
