I recommend the Weber 1B or the Joshua +2. The 1B is a tad wider than the +2; both yield excellent reeds. With each it is important to pare down the sides of the folded cane from the fold to the cane ends to ensure the cane fits between the ears. This will ensure that the cane lies straight on the shaper tip. David Weber will send you a blue sheet explaining all this with his tip. Also with the 1B you must tie longer than you are probably used to. I tie at 75 mm. on Stevens Pro #2 silver tubes.
