Make sure when you use these ones (and others like it) that you have the calibration set to 440Hz before you begin to tune to it as it's easy to change the calibration by accident.
A sax player (not the previously mentioned one) was having trouble tuning at one rehearsal, she couldn't get up to pitch on the meter. It turned out the calibration was set to around 448 when I looked at it, and she didn't realise the standard pitch is 440Hz, and said 'Why does it need to be 440?' - obviously they skipped over that important factor during her Army band training.
