Claire,
Korgs are definitely the gold standard. I bought one when I first started playing the oboe & paid nearly $100 for it. It ran on a nine volt battery. It finally died after nine years of trusty service. I figured at about $10 a year I got my money's worth. Bobo's $20 jewel was my replacement purchase. I like it even better than my first one: economical, portable, accurate & it runs on a couple of AAA batteries, which never seem to go dead. The more expensive model didn't have an automatic shut-off. If you forgot to click off the switch, the thing drained the 9V in short order. Live & learn.
Best,
john
