For what it's worth, I studied with Bob Morgan in Chicago, the gentleman who essentially IS the chicago double reed company. I think he's one of the best reedmakers I have ever encountered and would certainly work with you to make a reed of appropriate strength for your playing style. I make most of my own reeds, but Bob's reeds are certainly my go-to backup if I'm struggling!
