The secret is in slow. Really. Put your metronome at its slowest speed and practice until the 16th notes are perfect at that speed. Then crank the gnome up one notch & repeat the process. Keep doing this until it becomes sloppy. You have reached your limit for that day. The next day go back three notches from where it got sloppy & repeat the same procedure. You will surprise yourself. The repetitions must be flawless. So that means self-discipline. Believe me this works. It's what they teach in the conservatories.
A nickel lesson. But you have to pay those nickel dues every day.
