Kimber -- you will probably need a repairperson to correct the problem permanently, but here is something you can try as a temporary measure. There is a screw in the bottom end of the rod from which the low B pad extends. Try loosening the screw a half turn or so. If it is that rod which is binding, that might relieve the amount of contact between the post and the rod. Also oil (with sewing machine or other light oil -- not 3D) the post/rod contact. You can also try backing off the screw at the bottom of the rod on the other side of the middle joint and oiling the contacts between the several posts and the rod. With changing environmental conditions the movement of the wood, and the posts screwed into it, can cause binding. A repairperson can modify the length of the rods to accomodate this. The screws are ideally completely screwed in, but you can leave them loose for a short time, while keeping an eye out to make certain that they are not further unscrewing themselves when you use the keys associated with them.
