In the words of an old Judy Collins song, "I've been where you're hanging, I think I can see how you spin!"
Some days are like that.
When this happens to me, I have found that the very best thing is to just let it go for that day. By tomorrow, the oboe will have dried out, your reeds will have miraculously recovered, and your octave key will be free as a bird.
But to help fate along, you might just run a dollar bill (or whatever paper note you have in your wallet) gently under the cork (I presume) octave pad, to take off any sticky substance that might have accumulated during your playing hiatus. Blow out the "A" as suggested in the recent "water water" thread on this board (in fact, read that one well!). Soak your reeds extra well, both before AND after playing (i.e., clean them out a bit). And check your fingers, to make sure they are covering what they are supposed to cover.
Take a deep breath. Step away from the oboe. It WILL be better tomorrow!
