Mel, in my opinion, you already have a cheap clarinet suitable (barely?) for marching band. I say that because the Artleys which sneak into our beginning program are frequently out of tune with the other clarinets and the tone quality is not very pleasant. I would recommend a new, better clarinet for concert band; it's hard to go wrong with the "big 4:" Buffet, Selmer, Leblanc, & Yamaha.
