"Price" depends on how you look at it. The clear patches last a VERY VERY long time but the "rubber" patches need to be replaced within a few weeks or so to maintain the "dent" or scratch protection for you mouthpiece. So many more rubber patches equals MORE expensive over time. You can apply that idea to the 'quality' or the ability of one rubber patch to last a percentage longer than another.
