The K&M or Hercules bassoon stands are far better.
There was a Hercules bass clarinet stand that's worse than the La Voz one and should never have seen the light of day. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hercules-DS560B-Bass-Clarinet-Stand/144498788 Whoever designed that thing clearly had no idea what a bass clarinet is or had a sense of practicality.

I have the Hercules b.c. stand in your picture and I agree. I'm glad to read your comment, because I've always wondered if it was really as awkward as I thought it was.
I use it at home sometimes when I just want to put it aside for awhile to do something else, but I would never use it in a rehearsal or performance when I'm going back and forth among different instruments.

I don't play bass, but I do play alto which has a long floor peg. I started with the very heavy K&M stand. Then I discovered the woodwind design. It is very lightweight, stable, convenient. (Since it is made for a bass it is too long to fit inside my alto so I made a carry bag for it.) Yes it is costly, and some people I know have had to wait months for delivery. I was fortunate in that it arrived in less than two weeks. For me it was definitely worth the wait and the money.

was that an alto sax stand with the add-on?
I have a few LaVoz stands. Replaced the "rubber band" like material over the areas and still works fine. I also have the soprano sax, clarinet and flute pegs.
I had a dual alto/tenor sax stand at one time too.

I knew someone who used one on his low Eb BC. He did not use the extension.
I have a similar one for bari sax. The lever action “U” grips the bell more securely than most other stands. I modified mine though to change the angle of the U by 20 degs or so.

Yes, Hercules sells two bass clarinet stands. The one marketed as "bassoon/bass clarinet" is much better than the one marketed as "bass clarinet".

I use a Jiffy stand with my bari and an Adams stand with my bass, both are a similar design with the clamp on the bell which slots onto the base. They may look like bottle jacks, but they're far more practical than cradle-style stands and excellent for pit band doubling.

I recently bought a brand new K&M contrabassoon stand and there's far more plastic parts on it than I'm comfortable with. At least the older K&M bassoon/bass clarinet stands were an all metal affair.
