I am trying to find any information on how Heinrich Baermann escaped being a POW from the Battle at Jena in 1804, to his court appointment as principle clarinet in Munich in 1807.
How did he escape? Who helped? Where did he hide, stay? How did he change his status from criminal as a POW at the Battle of Jena to gain favor with the French approved king in Munich? How did he survive until that appointment with the orchestra?
Was Joseph Berr involved?
Lastly, was he at the Battle of Jena as a gun firing soldier, or as his role as a regimental band leader?
Any info or corrections would be very helpful. If I could be pointed in the right dierction, this would help as well.

A doctoral thesis by Madelyn Moore from the University of Kansas, 2014, states:
"During the Napoleonic War, Baermann was captured and held prisoner at Prenzlau in Brandenburg, approximately 70 miles north of Berlin. He was there for one winter before managing to outsmart convoy guards and escape. He wandered back to Berlin in the spring of 1807, only to find it under French control and in near total chaos. When Napoleon defeated the Prussians, Baermann was released from the army and went to Bavaria, where he was hired by King Maximilian I to play in the court orchestra in Munich."
But there is no supporting citation, so I don't know where that information is coming from.
That was the only easy to find source on ProQuest, a database of theses and peer-reviewed articles. That is definitely where I would recommend starting your research if you haven't tried doing so already. Any colleague who has a connection to a university should have access to similar tools, if you don't yourself.

The battle of Jena was fought on October 14th, 1806, so there is only a 1 year period in question.

It pleases me to hear there is interest in this subject.
I will post info as it gets clarified for me. However, it will be very slow going.
There is another relationship to this I will want to look into. The dynamic between composer Giacomo Meyerbeer, Opera Diva Helen Harlas, and Heinrich Baermann.
I am finding serious conflicting information on the relationship dynamic between them, and it is confusing at this point.
Helen Harlas was the and longtime companion of Heinrich Baermann and mother to his children. Did they marry? Some writing states she was his wife, others state she was married to Mayerbeer in a loveless relationship. Baermann and Harlas fell in love and she had his children.
It needs to be cleared up for me.
Why hasn't a movie been made about Baermann yet? Someone needs to write a script!
I have started working alongside Dr. Charles Kemper in a new trio that we started. He has given me some direction as well. It seems Charles Neidich may have some information to help me as well. Hopefully I can interest him enough to correspond with me.
It's worth a try. One never knows.
