 Selmer Series 10g

I have a Selmer series 10 that I love and sounds great. I've had it for the last 20 years. I've been offered a series 10g for $600 as a back up horn. Unfortunately, I can't play test the 10g, but it's been promised to be in excellent condition, and it's serial # starts with D. Is this a fair price?
