I thought about this recently because of a friend being absolutely delighted by Michele Zukovsky's musicianship, and I guess those great players in the LAPO have proven it can be done. It probably is harder, but I guess with the experience of blending with completely different instruments daily in an orchestral wind section, blending with another clarinet (while it might not be perfect) is probably not too bad.

Now aside from my dorky paragraph about clarinets, this video is fantastic! Can you imagine if we saw this stuff on TV as regularly as we saw news about Jay-Z and Rihanna(etc.) working together? I'm glad "Old Geezer" and the Bboard is here to bring my attention to this sort of thing. WOW. The video made me practise before I did anything else.

I think I've finally realised that Julian Bliss is grown up now, even though I knew it. The last I saw of him was probably the cover of his French Music CD...
