Hello
Maybe some of you remember I posted about the known problem of the upper clarion with bass clarinets and that I think I found out what is causing it. As I mentioned in that thread I had the problem with Buffet clarients but not with Selmers.
I managed to get answers from two people who are some of top bass clarinet players who play Buffet instruments. One of them is the consultant for Buffet on low clarinets.
I would need the help of someone who speaks French. The answer was sent to me in French and I had someone translate it for me a little but he really don't know anything about clarinets so it was a bit hard to understand everything but I got the basic idea.
If someone is willing to receive the French written email and translate it for me I would really appreciate it. I will then post this information on this forum.
Edit: Oops.... I forgot - my email is clarnibass@yahoo.com

I forgot to mention I already tried the Babblefish translator on Altavista's website and it was very unhelpful. Beucase I don't have French fonts some of the letters are not correct but a human can easily figure it out. The translator can't, and also it translates some words definitely different than what they really mean.
Thanks to the people who suggested it though.

If none of our French speakers/residents volunteer, send it to me and I'll have a go. My French isn't brilliant, but my wife's is very good so between us we'll manage, I hope.

If there are so many people on this board unwilling or unable to have a civil and balanced discussion about important issues, then I shan't bother to post here any more.
To the great relief of many of you, no doubt.
