When I play my clarinet, particularly after 2+ hour practice sessions and during contest solo season/All-State Band audition, I tend to get a sore throat that hurts me a lot.
Does anyone know what's wrong and how I can fix this problem?

That might be a good idea. I've talked to some other kids my age from different schools with different privite teachers who have this problem too. We don't know what's wrong. Could it be my breathing, embouchure, stress, or something else?

It's possible that extended anxiety is causing your immune system to be compromised, so having a doctor see about that isn't a bad idea.
Another possibility is that you may be closing off your throat while playing? That would cause strain especially when playing for long periods. An exercise would be to try playing anything that's easy for you, a long tone, an easy passage, etc. and concentrate on your throat - think of yawning while you play to open up the back of the throat. This may expose some tension that you never thought was there. If it is tension, the tension might be in your fingers, arms and shoulders as well.

Or possibly the rooms where you are playing are very dry. Heated rooms, especially in institutions, can have a VERY low humidity in the winter. Are you taking in quick breaths thru your mouth when the music allows.

I had this problem before... But it wasn't directly after I played clarinet... It was days after I had practiced for around 3 hours that I woke up with a sore throat. I suppose it may have been from playing incorrectly, but one never knows. I just gargled with listerine and went on my way. Sorry... can't help much.

I would go see a good Clarinet teacher before a Doctor - let him/her send you to a Physician after diagnosing that it isn't from playing the Clarinet incorrectly.
Because a Doctor will only be guessing what you are doing wrong with the Clarinet playing.

Self-diagnosis or remote "diagnosis" by people unqualified to give advice is the worst advice of all ...
See a doctor, and find out for real. It might be nothing, it might be something. None of us can possibly know.

Thank you all for your help. I'll consult my teacher in my next lesson. I am still open to any further suggestions.
I've been trying the water thing lately and I think that it has helped a little.
Also, I get stressed a lot because I have many auditions and contests with my clarinet and vocals. Contest is awful because I have a clarinet solo, a clarinet trio, a vocal solo, a vocal trio, and a vocal sextet. Last year it hurt so bad that I couldn't rehearse at all before we sang for contest because I could only stand the pain for the performance.
Maybe I should just relax and not worry so much. Wow, stress stinks!

You sound like you're burning the candle at both ends. Many people do that, though, and don't end up with sore throats. It helps to know you also sing.
If it were me I would be making an appointment with ENT (ear, nose and throat) doctor. He/She has the ability to lightly numb your throat and look way down into it. They have the equipment in the office to do this where a family practice doc probably doesn't. It might even be a good idea to practice for a long session prior to the appointment so the doctor can see what it is that you are feeling.
Good luck to you.
Rebecca.
