I'm actually finding that these days I actually practice very little due to rehearsals concerts and other activities. Based on what's down the thread, I may need to woodshed parts here and there and I try to get in a good session every week of scales, long tones and favorite melodies but it's getting harder to even fit that in. My orchestra concerts in VA were cancelled this past weekend due to snow and I decided to just bring my oboe to work today for the holiday party. While everyone else was eating and schmoozing, I was wondering around the floor playing Christmas carols. It was tons of fun! Don't worry about feeling guilty if you miss a practice here and there.... just try to enjoy yourself when you DO practice!
