There's a huge difference between the Mack+ and the Weber 1C (which is one of the wider tips available). And I don't really think the Mack+ is significantly wider than your -1N. Still, you should probably try the Mack+ since so many people use it successfully. I like the Samson+1 from Adam shaper tips. It's wider than Mack+ but wouldn't be a huge difference from your -1N.
