Last October I did a tuning check on my English horn. I warmed up, and then played through each note and checked the intonation on a tuner. It checked out pretty nicely--the majority of the notes were spot on.
Then yesterday I took the horn out and played through a few notes, and they were all 10 to 20 cents flat! And I used the same reed and bocal as before.
I'm wondering if you can help me figure out how this could be. I have done a minimal amount of playing on it since October. A friend borrowed it last month for a show we were doing together, so it got a fair amount of playing for three weeks recently.
And it goes without saying that I'd love to know how to remedy this situation. Thank you.
