Hi Linda.
Presumably you are playing this concert because you love music and the oboe. It would be a shame if you got so nevous that you couldn't enjoy the concert and all the hard work you have put into it. Concentrate on the task at hand (playing) and not on being nervous. Try taking a few slow, deep breaths before you start to play. Remember that all of your colleagues WANT you to do well, and so does the audience. They are all on your side!! Make a decision that you are bound and determined to enjoy yourself!! Draw a smile in your part next to your solo!! Remember to breathe!! If you make a mistake it is not the end of the world. Keep concentrating and keep playing. HAVE FUN!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!
