Thanks Craig,
I've always used the twisting motion to put the reed on, but I'm not sure how careful I am with using the opposite motion to remove it. I'll try to pay attention to this. It seems like a very sensible thing to do.
I leave my reeds twisted slightly to the left, since I tongue on the left corner mostly.
I also, don't like rubber tubes, although I tried that when I was using Chudnow staples. It's too much of a hassle for me.
