quick and easy solution for now?

very lightly file or shave your reed tip a teeny tad thinner so it responds longer with your diminished and whispering air-stream, and keep it just moist enough, too dry will balk, too wet will close up

long-term and harder but more important solution

... ah yes -- found it in my printouts, been sorting piles of paper recently
