This question might seem off the wall, but what kind of cane is used for oboe reeds?
Also, can it be home grown and cultivated here in the U.S. or in a climate such as the
UK? The reason why I ask is that I read at the website, given by Bobo, that cane is expensive...not getting any cheaper.
