Marigaux oboes imported to the UK are exactly the same ones as sold elswhere (and therefore built to the same pitch) and not UK specific, the only difference being the extra keywork added (usually a thumbplate and repositioned 3rd 8ve key, and sometimes a low B-C link) in the UK if needed - same with Loree, Rigoutat, Fosatti, Buffet, Bulgheroni, Dupin, Fox, Josef, Ludwig Frank, Puechner, Yamaha, etc.

Howard, if you want to check an 11 year old Loree DM with a current one, the easist check to do is joint lengths and tonehole placement - though tonehole placement can vary over time as tonehole positions get moved and have their diameters changed. But your best bet to check if it's the same pitch as a current one is to measure the joint lengths. Easy for the bottom joint as you measure from end to end. On the top joint, you have to measure the distance between the bottom of the reed socket and the end of the tenon, so the best thing to do is make a depth gauge (from a piece of wood or metal) that fits into the reed socket and put a mark on it, and measure from the mark to the end of the tenon and then do the same on another instrument - if the distance between the mark and the end of the tenon is the same, then they're both the same pitch. Most oboe makers use prety much the same proportions for their joint lengths.
