Do scales in 3rd,... slowly at first. Increase speed as facility improves. Do not practice mistakes, and be patient. Go slowly at first.

Practice all fingering combinations, so do include forked f. Some scales, therefore, require multiple passes to cover fingering options.... every which way but loose.

Grease your c, c# and e-flat key cluster (a little nose grease rubbed onto your fingerm then the keys.... makes sliding easier).
