Actually I've heard from several former Still students that Ray Still did a kind of jaw vibrato as well, so I suppose it's not just Europeans who do it.

By the way d-oboe, do you study with Ted Baskin? I'm thinking of applying to his week-long summer thing he does next year and would love to hear your thoughts about his teaching. Please send me an email if you get a chance.
