The Oboe BBoard

I wonder if anyone has any thoughts on the following: there are certain notes on my oboe that seem to be accompanied by a very faint sound of either leaking air or hissing. Two examples: middle C sharp and high A. When I go from middle D to middle C sharp, the closing of the C sharp pad in the second joint forces air through the little diamond shaped hole in the half-hole key that at least to me is audible - it's a sound of oboe resistance and forced air and is audible in the tone of the C sharp relative to the D - a tone that is less sweet and pure. On the high A, it's going from G to A or even Ab, but here i'm opening the oboe as opposed to closing it down so i'm not sure what's going on. i thought it might be air being forced through the 2nd octave hole, but i can't tell and that wouldn't explain the Ab (maybe air forced through the Ab little hole?). Interestingly, I don't hear it as much on high B, but one would think you would. I'm not sure whether these things are really audible to anyone but me with my obsessive ears or if this is something that is unique to my vintage/type oboe (1975 Loree) or something that would be corrected by replacing pads, etc. Any thoughts?
