I agree with all the above advice, and would like to add another concerning reed profile: on the next reed you make, try for a smoother profile. Right now it is a steep slope going downwards from the thread, then a big bump at the heart and then going down again at the tip. I find this type of profile makes reeds difficult to control. By making long strokes over the entire back, the profile becomes more gradual and the heart is formed more naturally.
Also, it is important to make a more definite step between the tip and heart, because it frees the reed.
