From the pictures it looks as though the tip is evenly thin. If you leave the center of the tip (in the location which would be a continuation of the spine area) a little heavier (though not the tip of the tip) your sound may become less bright. Also, if the shape were slightly wider you might find you have a lower pitch. I agree with the advice to blend more with respect to the division between the windows and the heart. Also, the nature of the cane contributes to the 'darkness' of the sound. Ask someone whose tone you like what their cane source is.
