Buffet and Triebert built Boehm system oboes in the 19th century, and Uebel built sax-fingered oboes, there's a picture of a Louis (Chelsea) sax-fingered oboe in Joppig's book (The Oboe and Bassoon - it has a single reed mouthpiece fitted to it) though the player Lavigne was probably one of the few orchestral players to use Boehm system oboes, and I think his went to low A.
I wouldn't mind a set of true sax-system oboes (with exactly the same keywork as a soprano sax), a few old Buffet Boehm systems turn up on eBay from time to time, and I've only seen one Uebel.
From what I have read the toneholes on the Boehm system were large and the tone was a lot more brash.
