I received this piece that we're playing in orchestra, but I don't know who wrote it, or where it's from. At the top, it just says "4. Pomahc" with the beginning marked "Intrado: Molto adagio (quarter=40)" It has a lengthy oboe solo in the middle. Very slow, very sad, very Stalin's purges marching through the dead of winter" kind of solo. The solo is quite extended. Anyone know where this is from?
