Another note:
Reeeeeeallly prepare your endurance. If you still have a good amount of time before the audition, embark on an endurance-raising routine. Make sure your endurance (embouchure and breathing) are impeccable. Play phrases twice, or even three times through, on one breath. Learn to feel yourself running out of air, but learn to be comfortable with that feeling.
Why?
We all know that nervousness can reduce endurance, and make seemingly easy phrases difficult. However, when you change altitude your body adjusts. Compound that with nervousness and it will feel like you have no air at all.
Once you've gotten that under control, it isn't so much of a task to tweak the reeds. With a very strong and flexible embouchure, you won't have to have the reed "just perfect" just in order to make it to the end of the audition without dying. In other words, with your breathing and embouchure (but mostly air) you will better be able to deal with the changes in the reeds.
