What makes violetwood, cocobola, and rosewood different from grenadilla? I know they look different, but what are the advantages and disadvantages to having an oboe made out of an exotic wood? I almost bought a rosewood patricola before my loree, but my old teacher told me not to. I was wondering why it was a bad idea.
