"On my Loree English Horn, the thumb rest is kind of wiggly. The screws are as tight as they can be without stripping the wood. What can I do?"
Have your repairer take the thumbrest off, deepen the screw holes and put it back on again. It sounds like the holes are too shallow so the screws aren't going into the wood deep enough to tighten the thumbrest against the body.
Do you know if the thumbrest has been repositioned at any point?
